(can Dogs Get Impetigo?)

Mad Mad Men Tag

Another groundbreaking article, you say, and you're right! Mad Men, the series is acclaimed by critics for four years now, and I do find that now. As revolutionary as the redesign, what ...
But now, better late than never, a series of more to add to my charts. I bought the first season by chance, so to speak, and I'm a fan! I must say that I had been warmly recommended, and I'm not disappointed, but then there, not in the least.

Mad Men is an American series created by Matthew Weiner and broadcast by AMC since 2007. Mad Men is the name that we know the ad men, men who worked in advertising agencies of Madison Avenue in Manhattan in the '60s, that marked the early years Golden advertising. The hero is the handsome Don Draper (played by Jon Hamm), creative director of Sterling Cooper, a mysterious man who seems to hide a shady past. The series begins with the arrival of the young Peggy Olsen (Elisabeth Moss), and we discover this world through his eyes glamorous naive and intrigued. She became the secretary of Don and is formed by the great Joan (Christina Hendricks), a large buxom redhead that turns every head and seems to know all the tricks of the male world. Don is married to the lovely Betty (January Jones), a housewife typical small suburban towns around New York whose daily lives are made of small gossip among neighbors and education of children. It seems to swim in a deep depression and began psychotherapy, driven by her husband. At Sterling Cooper, the young creatives are just war and everyone tries to stand out, especially the young Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser), ready for all the cheap shots to move up the ranks.

What about this series so rich? It happens eventually not much, and yet we are quickly snapped up by the glamorous and mysterious. It's almost an exploration of the psyche of Don Draper, a character that appears very quickly hyper complex and extremely interesting. His marriage to Betty, is the seemingly perfect marriage is the appearance that they try to give at least ... And the difference between his life in his tidy suburban home and his life in Manhattan and at work causes striking contrasts.
But the success of this series is undoubtedly the way it portrays American society of the 1960s: a changing society, both socially and morally. Sex, tobacco, alcohol, gender, advertising: that many themes that this series deals with verve and cynicism.

This, therefore, at this moment I really enjoy this series of beautiful, deep, captivating and glamorous, which became in a short time, a real social phenomenon and that I recommend highly If you do not know yet ...

Edit: the music of this series is so awesome that I wanted to share a playlist small tribute that I hope you enjoy!
